I tracked down The Boy today and asked him about what I saw yesterday. He said the whole thing was a bet between him and The Girl. Apparently he lost. I left thinking: Why didn’t I think of that in High School? If you win you get respect; if you lose you still got the kiss. Not bad. Not bad.
